01

Acceptance

These Terms of Use govern access to the Warpeer website and use of any Warpeer application or release made available through it. By accessing or using Warpeer, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Warpeer.

If you use Warpeer for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization. You must also be legally able to enter into this agreement where you live.

02

Product and license

Warpeer is an independent pure-terminal fork of Warp. Warpeer is not sponsored, endorsed, or published by Warp.

Your right to install, copy, modify, or redistribute a Warpeer release is governed by the license and notices supplied with that release. Open-source components remain governed by their own licenses. These Terms do not reduce rights granted by an applicable open-source license.

03

Your commands and content

Warpeer is a terminal tool. You control the commands, scripts, files, credentials, terminal content, local processes, and remote connections used through it. Warpeer does not claim ownership of that material.

You are responsible for reviewing commands before execution, maintaining backups, protecting credentials, and confirming that you have permission to access every local or remote system you use. Terminal commands can change or delete data and can affect systems beyond Warpeer.

04

Acceptable use

You may not use Warpeer to violate applicable law, infringe another person's rights, gain unauthorized access, distribute malicious software, disrupt systems, evade access controls, or conceal activity that would otherwise be unlawful.

You may test, administer, or automate systems only when you own them or have clear authorization. You remain responsible for how your shell, plugins, tools, and connected services behave.

05

Remote and third-party services

Warpeer can launch shells, open links, run command-line tools, load local plugins, and connect to remote systems at your direction. Those products and services are controlled by their respective operators and may have separate terms, privacy policies, fees, or security requirements.

Warpeer contributors are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or conduct. A link or compatible integration does not imply endorsement.

06

Downloads and releases

Only download Warpeer from a source identified by the project. The download page shows the version, signature, notarization status, and checksum when a public build is available.

Features can be added, changed, marked as preview, or removed. Warpeer does not update itself automatically, so you are responsible for checking for and installing later releases.

07

Warpeer for iPhone

Warpeer for iPhone is offered as Early Access. Features may change, and every feature is free during Early Access. If paid plans are introduced, prices and terms will be shown in the app and on the App Store before you are charged.

When distributed through the App Store, your use of the iPhone app is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.

You are responsible for the servers you connect to, the commands you run and the helper Warpeer places in your server home directory to provide session, agent, git and metric features. Remove ~/.warpeer from a server at any time to delete it.

08

Names, marks, and project materials

Warpeer names, marks, website copy, and original project materials are protected to the extent allowed by applicable law. You may not imply that your product or service is an official Warpeer release without permission.

Warp and its mark belong to their respective owner and are used on this site only to describe upstream lineage. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.

09

Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback, you allow Warpeer contributors to use it to improve the project without restriction or payment. Do not include credentials, private terminal output, confidential information, or material you are not allowed to share.

10

No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Warpeer is provided as is and as available, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, compatibility, data preservation, or error-free behavior.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

11

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Warpeer contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, credentials, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business interruption arising from Warpeer or systems used through it.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law. This section does not limit liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

12

Changes and termination

These Terms may change as Warpeer, its distribution model, or legal obligations change. The page will show a new last-updated date when material revisions are published. Continued use after a revision means you accept the revised Terms.

You may stop using Warpeer at any time. Access to the Warpeer download or website may be limited when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or maintenance.

13

General and contact

If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Mandatory rights under the law where you live continue to apply.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
